545        |a Ms. Pascale was born in Havana, Cuba living on the Caribbean island. It wasn't until she was the age of two that she left Cuba and traveled to the United States to seek a better life. She didn't have a ticket on the airpot, though she was lucky enough to get in as her mother carried her close. She landed in Florida, though labled as a 'illegal immigrant' in time, she was able to become a citizen in the United States. Later on, she went to Hudson County Community College in Jersey City before transferring to Kean University, where she got her bachelors degree in Speech and Hearing Science. She would go on to own business as a pet sitter, and volunteered at Saint Hubert's Animal Shelter. On the academic side of her career, she taught Spanish, and worked as an assistant in the Vice President of Student Affairs office at HCCC. She is now the Democracy House Coordinator at Middlesex College, working with students who go through leadership training to learn how to be leaders in their communities through volunteer work
