Michael Nepomich, a Middlesex County resident and artist, discusses coming to the United States from the Soviet Union at the age of 7. He goes into detail regarding how him and his family were able to overcome their struggles and become familiarized in a land that was foreign to them. The success of Michael and his family members is an inspiration to those who come here in search of a better life.

Michael's grandparents were both war heroes and underwent extensive tribulations as a result of their fighting in World War 2. Michael's mother, who received a PHD in Biology from the College of Moscow, eventually began working for the state of New Jersey. Michael, himself, is a talented and successful artist, he was extremely art-driven from a very young age and used his artistic abilities to make something of himself in this new country.
